Personal Bankruptcy Story
Bankruptcy News September 6th. 2010, 4:57amFirst of all I am a huge believer that you should do everything that you can do to prevent having to declare bankruptcy. This should be the last step and the decision to do this is permanent.
Sometimes you have no choice but to do what you have to do. I know that my personal bankruptcy story is not going to make anyone feel better about having to do this. I know that when I went to see my attorney it was the most difficult thing I had to ever do. As a matter of fact I broke down and started crying because the last thing I wanted to do was face the reality of this situation.
Once I got through the first visit I felt so much better. It was nice not to have to talk to any of the creditors again. The attorney took care of all the calls and all I had to do was give them his number and he took all the calls.
While I am not happy that I had to face that situation; there was nothing I could do financially to avoid it. However today I am taking steps to improve my financial status so that I will never have to be faced with that situation ever again.
Remember that if you decide to do it this time then it is going to stay on your credit for seven years. It is important to learn how to rebuild your credit and get back on your two feet so that you do not have to worry about putting your family through the whole process twice.
Unfortantely there are many people who go through this once and then find themselves facing the same situation again. That is why I wanted to share my personal bankruptcy story with you so that you will not have to face this dilima alone nor will you be facing the same problem again.
